November is National Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience Month: Celebrate with a Multi-User Locking System
November is an important month at Everlock Systems, as it is National Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience Month. This month cuts to the heart of what we care about most: properly securing your company’s site. When it comes to keeping your property safe, our commitment to top quality and easy to use multi-user locking products is unparalleled to others. We are all about providing our customers with the best lock-based security on the market.
Of course, we’re not the only ones this month celebrating and encouraging better security. This month, the EPA’s Water Security Division is actively encouraging water utilities to address any security issues and better prepare for emergencies. One important means of taking such precautions involves assessing a utility’s already existing security weaknesses. To facilitate this, the EPA has made their Vulnerability Self-Assessment Tool (VSAT) available for download. The tool helps assess weaknesses and offer suggestions for reducing security risk.
Which raises the question: Has your utility or facility completed a hazardous risk assessment? Is it current, or does it need to be reviewed and updated? The VSAT can be a great place to start. One detail you’ll immediately notice in the first VSAT video is the presence of a lock securing a chain-link gate. While a padlock is a great place to start, we know that “daisy chains” are insufficient when shared access is at play. As long as there are shared access sites, there is a need for robust and easy to use locking systems.
At Everlock Systems, we believe our multi-user locking systems offer the perfect solution to shared access sites. For instance, our SLX multi-user locking system allows anywhere between two and ten padlocks or round puck locks to attach, creating a multi-user access point. This heavy-duty system that features bolt cutter guards and a weather resistant zinc coating offers unrivaled security and durability. So say goodbye to daisy chains and implement Everlock’s multi-user locking system into your facility today!
